5.0 out of 5 stars Great affordable controller!

I was looking for a decent wireless Xbox type controller for the PC. I've been using the old Microsoft 2.4GHz transmitter with Xbox360 controllers but you can't get those anymore. Decided to try this model as it has hall effect triggers and sticks. Tried to force pair it with the Microsoft transmitter but no dice. I didn't expect it to, and it has its own transmitter so not an issue. PC recognized the transmitter and controller paired automatically. Man this controller feels smooooth. Played several hours of Helldivers 2 and it performed flawlessly. D pad input is more precise than my 360 controllers. The RGB lights are a cute bonus. I will probably get another, nicer model from this brand in the future!

Works with my Insignia Fire TV to play on Luna. Connected through both bluetooth and the included receiver (only one is necessary) with no lag. There is a bit of a deadzone but you can adjust it a little through controller functions. Also very easy to change the lighting and vibration settings. The controller is a little lighter than I'm used to, but I'm coming from an xbox one controller with a battery pack. Got it for under twenty bucks and hopefully it lasts me a while.

It feels well-made.
The joystick and trigger feel as good as any official controller, NS Pro, etc.
The button might be a bit soft, but considering this price point, I wouldn't complain about it.
The feel of vibration is excellent and better than I expected.
I will use it for few more days and I'm considering buying another one.

We are a gaming family and have been getting more and more into computer gaming as my kids are getting old enough to play them. We have a few Steam games that work best or only with a gamer controller so I was looking for an affordable, durable choice we could all use. I'm actually pleasantly surprised by this product. It may not be up to name brand level quality, but it feels very solid and well built. Perfectly reactive and easy to pair up to the computer. I wish there were more color choices, but no biggie. After unboxing we used the little flash drive to get it installed and we were up and playing in about 5 minutes. I'm not a fan of having drivers on a thumb drive, I figure I'll probably lose it by the time I go to switch to a new computer in the future. But other then that I'm very happy with this device and so far it's holding up just fine to my 10 and 4 year old!

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong budget controller

While it's not up to the standards of first party controllers and pricier 'pro' controllers, Hall Effect sensors have become a popular feature to avoid the pitfalls of many of these controllers, as they don't suffer the dreaded 'stick drift' that plagues controllers even several times this price. For ~$20, to get a fairly solid wireless controller that functions perfectly well across Switch and PC systems on Bluetooth, wireless (with included USB dongle) and wired with Hall Effect sensors and even RGB, is a pretty strong proposition.

I have some pretty nice controllers sitting around, so my complaints are coming from a place of much more refined hardware. If you want the basics, this controller should do fine for you. Everything works well enough that this controller won't actively hold you back in games.

The buttons are a bit mushy, but they are firm enough with their feedback and not hard to use. The D-pad is especially so, having the classic problem of tilting up/down too easily when pressing left/right and vice versa. But there seems to be just the right level of force necessary to actuate the buttons even when it's nudging off-axis, so you don't get a lot of accidental diagonal presses. It feels like it should be pressing the wrong direction, but unless you actually move your thumb that way, it usually doesn't.

As for the sticks and triggers, they're good. Motion is smooth and responds pretty consistently. It takes a bit more force to get the sticks moving than I like, but they are silky and easy to work with. The analog triggers feel good as well, and the bumpers have a nice, soft tactile bump that I wish the face buttons could have had. These are the best parts of the controller, for sure.

I was not able to activate the function listed in the instruction manual which changes the dead zone and joystick circle/square settings. There is a way to update the controller's firmware so that may be how you're meant to gain access to those settings. Still, it's annoying to have to wrangle a firmware updater program before the controller will do what the physical manual printed out for it tells you it can do. My game software is showing that, when pressed in certain directions, the analog sticks do not fully reach the end of the circle, maybe somewhere around 95%. While the option to turn on the 'square' analog stick shape would likely rectify this, if you are unable to get the firmware updated yourself, it is possible that some occasional games may have issues, expecting the stick to be pressed slightly farther than it is physically able to.
