    I didn't even realize I had two different styles/models of controllers for my xbox one. Whoops! Lucky for me, these come with two covers each of the two different styles, so it didn't matter! Battery life is just as good (maybe better? I can't tell) as my Micro$oft branded, more expensive batteries. No more throwing away AA batteries!

    I had the opportunity to try the Rechargeable Battery Pack for Xbox Controller, and it works as expected. The kit includes two 4800mWh rechargeable batteries, a USB-C charging cable, and four back covers for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One controllers. The batteries charge in about three hours and provide around 25-30 hours of gameplay, which is convenient. It’s nice to have the option to charge the batteries separately or while they’re in the controller. The LED indicators are helpful for checking the charging status. The batteries fit well in the controllers and are easy to install and remove. With a claimed lifespan of over 2,000 charge cycles, they should last a while. However, they are only compatible with official Xbox controllers, which is worth keeping in mind. Overall, it’s a decent option for anyone wanting to avoid disposable batteries.

    Okay so it does the job. I notice it says 4800 mWh, while other batteries advertise 1400 mAh. Watts vs amps. Is the bigger number better? No, because it depends on the voltage of the device. They should be comparable to the official battery pack in terms of capacity. That said, let's look at the problems with this product.

    1 - It's bulky. The cover extends a little bit out of the contours of the controller. You probably won't notice when you're holding it, but it ruins the aesthetic of the controller
    2 - It's black. Unless you have black controllers, it ruins the aesthetic of your controller.
    3 - It has it's own USB-C port. You have to use the port on the battery to charge your device, you can't charge through the regular USB-C port on the controller. So if you want to use this in wired mode, you have to connect a USB cord to your PC, and then a separate USB-cord for charging the battery.
    4 - There are two electrodes on the battery pack, presumably so you can plop the controller down on a charging station. But I don't know which charging station this is supposed to be compatible with! It would've been nice if it came with a station.

    That said, it's less than half the price of the official battery pack, so you win some, you lose some. This is not a 5-star product, but I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase. It does the job, even if it's janky and inelegant.

    I haven't actually used them yet, but my boyfriend has definitely been breaking them in for me since the new COD has recently come out. Here's what I've observed & experienced so far:

    Upon arrival, the packaging was with care & organization, as most purchases I've gotten from amazon are. The package contained 2 packs & multiple back covers that accommodate the different major consoles out right now. We have the newest Xbox & they fit perfectly.
    Anyway, we immediately took the items out & connected 1 to a charger until it was at 100%.
    I want to point out that he has been playing the game from the moment he wakes to all hours of the late night.
    After the pack was completely charged, it was put to use. After a full day of playing, which was at least 10+hours, the charged pack hadn't even hit the 75% mark.
    The uncharged pack lasted about 10hrs before it had died.

    Charge time for the packs to reach 100% wad roughly 4hours, give or take.

    Overall, we're satisfied with the life & quality of these. It was a pleasant surprise because in our experience, rechargeable batteries usually don't perform too well.
    These are a great purchase for any hardcore gamer!

    I use these for my xBox series x and the reason I like them is because I can plug in a USB C cord and charge as I'm playing. They have been lasting about 3-4 hours with my headset plugged in, which also uses a USB C charger. Love that I can just plug in the USB when I get the "battery is low" on my screen. Overall, no issues with these so far. Definitely work for my purposes and I don't have to buy batteries, rechargeable or otherwise, as I can charge as I play!

    I'm used to having to switch out the battery on my old rechargeable Xbox battery pack, but this one lasts double than the other ones. And with having 2, I always have the second one available right when that happens. Very satisfied, beats getting AA+ from the store every few months, this thing pays for itself in no time!
