About this item

***Warning: Verify that Pro-Draw is the seller when purchasing! We do not offer items to wholesalers or make our products available to third party resellers- any sellers other than Pro-Draw are a scam!
Designed For Comfort: The Pro-Draw Grip is made of a satin-touch, cushioned silicone, allowing you to draw for hours without getting those pesky hand cramps or the dreaded “artist bump” on your finger ! The shock-absorbent silicone provides you with the support and comfort you need for better line control while also protecting your Pencil from drops and spills!
Ergonomics To Support Your Process: The Pro-Draw Grip’s ergonomic design allows for multiple ways to hold based on your style and needs. If you prefer an even larger solution, you can flip the entire grip upside down for a super-wide fit. Since The Grip extends nearly the entire length of the Apple Pencil, you get a more natural, balanced drawing experience compared to other smaller grips on the market.
Works w/ Gen 1 & Gen 2 Apple Pencils, USB-C Apple Pencil, and Apple Pencil Pro!: Even though we designed the Pro-Draw Grip to give you full access to all of the features of the Gen 2 Apple Pencil and Apple Pencil Pro, you can still enjoy the same comfort and drawing benefits with a Gen 1 or USB-C model! Yes, that means that it is compatible with the Squeeze and Haptic Feedback of the new Apple Pencil Pro!
Built For Usability: Designed with access to the Gen 2 Apple Pencil’s double tap feature. The Pro-Draw Grip’s patented “finger scoop” allows direct contact between your finger and the stylus…guaranteeing your inputs register the first time (unlike other grips that require you to tap through layers of silicone.) With the Pro-Draw Grip, you don’t have to lose the double tap feature of your Pencil just because you want the benefits of a grip!
Easy On/ Easy Off: The pro-draw Grip’s split-back design allows you to attach the grip AND easily remove the grip when it’s time to charge your Gen 2 Apple Pencil (that’s IF you use a case on your iPad.) Don’t use a case? Just twist the pencil’s flat edge so it lines up with the opening on the back of the grip, roll the grip over the edge of the iPad from back to front to widen the split, and affix! The edges of the pro-draw Grip even wrap around the iPad, offering a more secure fit than ever!
Beneficial To All Artists: The larger grip and softer touch of the Pro-Draw Grip is great for people who suffer from carpal tunnel/ neuropathy and for artists with developmental disabilities.

    tl;dr works well, comfortable, perfect.

I’ve struggled my entire life writing with pens and pencils. Even with proper posture and hand grip, my forearm begins to burn immediately. In-class writing assignments were a nightmare.

I really wanted to use Apple Pencil, but it was a struggle. I tried multiple grips on the market and gave up. The Pencil was docked on my iPad for a year. Why did I even buy it?

Frustrated, I looked for user suggestions and several raved about The Pro-Draw Grip for Apple Pencil. I was unsure after reading reviews, but was desperate for a solution.

Let me tell you, I feel NO PAIN in my hand, wrist, forearm, and shoulder when I use the Pencil with this Grip. No burning, no tingling from Carpal Tunnel. Nothing. Just really comfortably positioned pencil, comfortable to grip, and putting it on and off is quick and easy.

Yes, this is a thick grip. Small-sized gloves are usually too long for me, yet this grip is the perfect size. In the first photo, you can see how I use it “backwards” (with the thicker side toward the front of the pencil). I line up the opening so it is even with the flat side of the pencil.

The second photo shows the other side of the pencil with grip. The third photo is zoomed in to show the “dimple” that is on each side of the grip. This is where I place my thumb.

The quality of the material is great and the appearance is sleek. I’m not sure how many years the grip’s material can withstand being put on and removed from the pencil.

The only con would be storage of the grip when not in use. I recommend this grip.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for assistive device for arthritic hands!
Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2024
I am an artist, and have RA. I use assistive devices on my regular pens, pencils, and brushes, but was looking for something a little nicer for this pen.

I looked at a lot and most were very similar or honestly exactly the same as what I use on my traditional tools- the issue is the pen is already heavy, so the ones I use that sit just where my fingers went weren’t working as the amount of pressure I had to use due to the balance issue sort of cancelled out any benefits
I searched and found something that pretty much covers the entire pen, but with some great features

I found it on Amazon- it was about $15 after I spent $2 extra to get it faster. It may seem expensive, but it’s the only full pen size I could find so I suppose supply and demand (basic economics) comes into play

As you can see, if you use it this way is has a nicely sloped cut-out for using the double tap and squeeze feature of the pen

The whole side has a cut out but the grip still stays on the pen nicely, and if you turn the pen the charging side is available without needing to remove it(and don’t have a cover - I took mine off to show you)

You can turn it around so the fatter end is at your fingers for folks who have grip strength or movement issues like I do, I can’t use the double tap or squeeze feature this way, but I couldn’t use them anyway due to my limitations.

All in all I think this is a great assistive device and might generally improve comfort even for folks without disabilities- it stays on tight but it’s easy to remove , it’s adjustable for different grips, and it’s not really too expensive for all the great features- I love that it fits the whole pen so there’s no introduced balance problems - over all a great tool

4.0 out of 5 stars Kind of tricky to get the hang of & pretty big for female hands
Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2024
Figuring out how to orient the grip to my hands (i.e. where to place my thumb and other fingers) took some trial and error - maybe I'm just a little slow lol, but it was a little less intuitive than some other grips I've tried. I find that it's quite large but that has its benefits. I have pretty medium size hands and would say the fatter end is a little too big while the thinner end is a little too small for my own preferences...but the bigger end is easier to hold when my wrist starts getting sore from drawing/writing.

The other issue I have with it is it is a pet hair magnet! Within an hour of taking it out of the package, it was covered in cat hair. Like other silicone stuff, it's tough to get the hair off too.

Overall 4/5, not perfect but it'll do and for $12 I'm glad I took the chance. I expect for men with larger hands this might be more comfortable, but even for my (not even particularly small) female hands I find it is still more comfortable than without a grip, and actually more comfortable than those really thin rubber grips you can get packs of like four for $6 or whatever on here for, since it offers more of an ergonomic grip.

I ordered this grip and a slightly cheaper pack of 5 assorted variety grips on Amazon to finally try to figure out if there was a comfortable way to hold the pencil for drawing. I tried holding it a few different ways but ultimately found the bigger end to be my vastly preferred way to hold it.

I’ve been drawing on my iPad a TON recently and the for me the Apple Pencil just as it is by itself, quite hard hard to feel comfortable using for drawing and I was struggling with it more and more and honestly getting frustrated recently. So I went to see if there was anything that could remedy this discomfort and voila this grip solved all my issues and more!

Not only does it make the pencil SO MUCH more comfortable to use for drawing but it makes it easier to draw itself as I’m able to manipulate the pencil with more dexterity and control now so when I draw I get straighter lines and better flow. I didn’t even think of this being possible simply by finding a perfect grip for it!

This grip in a second changed my entire experience with drawing on my iPad and I’m so dang happy about finding it. ????

Last thoughts on it are that the price is very good for its quality and design. The design having the slit on one side is so dang nice for getting it in and on instantly and for adjusting it in any way you may need in no time at all. Also because of the slit, taking it off to charge on my iPad is never an issue/annoying because it’s removes like butter!!

I guess the only thing I could ask for would be more color options!! I’d love to get it in a couple fun colors!
