    Great for games/activities that have you work up a sweat, but you do sacrifice some immersion due to the openess of your peripheral vision with this facial interface.

    It's great for glasses too; it has an integrated spring mechanism that helps keep it both comfortable and in place if you wear glasses, so you don't have to adjust them for glasses yourself, they do it automatically based on how tight you set your head strap. Your glasses will still probably fog up during intense movement, but they'll also go back to normal faster with the increased airflow.

    Also, this one is way harder to remove than the included one once installed. I was able to squeeze the bottom part and get it to come off around the nose, but it really holds on near the head strap arms. I use a very small flat tip screwdriver (one out of a multi-tool works great) with a twisting/turning motion to gently pry this facial interface out of the Quest 3, pops right out, doesn't take much twisting of the screwdriver. This is especially important given the spring mechanisms are in the way and appear to be easy to break during removals.

    I wasn't expecting much when I pre-ordered this but man, I'm impressed. Because it doesn't have the strength of a full frame, what one might consider flexibility of this interface a bad thing, it actually allows for the cushion to contour to your face which reduces the rubbing and irritation to basically nothing and makes it super comfortable. The open sides will take a bit of getting used to, but it's worth it for the comfort and breathability. I sweat terribly and my cushions are always soaked. I played for 3 hours (clay hunt vr/walkabout golf) and normally my cushion would be waterlogged, with this interface, it was barely damp.

    I'm not going to pretend you don't lose any immersion because you do lose some, but it's not that noticeable once you get used to it. For the added comfort and cooling, it's well worth the trade off. I have 3 dogs and it's nice being able to look down and make sure they, or one of their bones, aren't by my feet. Time will tell how durable it is. I have no plans of swapping it with other interfaces because I like it so much. If you do, durability could possibly be a concern. I'm very happy with my purchase even though I fully expected to be disappointed.

    Something I missed before purchased, these are not adjustable like the original facial interfaces but come with a spare thicker face pad. The face pad is velcro'd on and it comes with a spare. I personally preferred the thicker pad.

    I bought this initially for exercise. I sweat quite a lot and avoided exercise with my headset so that I don't damage anything internally within the headset. For that use case it's effective, but it also has a great use case for augmented reality, public use, and for small play spaces where you have to stay aware of where you are. I could also see this facial interface being great for developers who don't want to constantly take on and off their headset to see their keyboard and immediate surroundings.

    It'd be nice to have the fabric option available to Quest 3 users as well. The open design could cause sun damage to the VR screen so you have to have something to cover the lenses when not in use. For some reason I get motion sick when using this in VR mode. It throws off my brain having to keep track of the outside world and the VR world.

    Very comfortable, helps with heat, doesn't really kill immersion because for me, I find my brain ignores the periphery being visible just like it ignores it being blacked out...

    Sometimes I feel oddly more immersed because the periphery isn't blacked out, so it feels more natural when my vision isn't focused there.

    The added bonus of also knowing where you are in the room with a very easy glance is honestly very useful for tighter room scale.

    I didn’t expect this to be a big game changer or whatever but after using it, it’s crazy how much more comfortable it is. I’ve been struggling with my eyelashes and nose touching the lens or headset and it just being uncomfortable overall. But having a bit of gap makes it so much easier to use, even for gaming! The gap doesn’t really bother me or ruin immersion since it just allows me to breathe a lot better and see the world. If you really wanted to do full immersion you can turn off the lights and get those IR lights or whatever they are called. But definitely a must for the quest 3 for anyone who doesn’t have a halo strap or something else

    This is the most COMFORTABLE face interface!!! And I feel it IMPROVES any AR Mixed reality experience. If you prefer being in "Pass Thru" mode the increased visibility from this open air design enhances it immensely. A must have IMO.
