I bought this as an alternative to the 8bitdo ultimate controller this seems to have a few more options and the benefit of changing out the buttons so that they can work with either a Nintendo based control set or an Xbox based control set.

It comes with a good case with a tool for removing the buttons and with a USB adapter that can be used for lower latency connections it will connect over Bluetooth as well.

I've had zero problems with it so far. I have the adapter plugged into the deck for my ROG Ally for playing when docked. When my Ally is not docked I connect over Bluetooth. Everything works perfectly well. I actually prefer this over the 8bitdo controller. It feels great and works well too with a lot more functionality.

The most important feature I like about it is the macro function: you can long press the macro button, and then "operate buttons or direction controls" for up to 10 minutes, and then press the macro button again.

Now if you press the macro button once, it will perform the steps you recorded for ONCE.

To repeatedly perform that action, double tap on the macro button.

This saves me a lot of time when playing some games.

It is good for PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android. It is very versatile.

It detected in windows usb controller settings. but was troublesome in Steam. it detects in (Switch Pro) mode, and (Steam) mode, but NOT (windows) mode or the last mode. If I tab to another app, I sometimes need to replug the usb so it can re-detect, and check the mode again. In (Switch Pro) mode, it works wonderfully: no stick drift, great programmable paddles, and I am fine with the buttons.

Oh man, I love this controller! Hall Effect gimbals really do make a world of difference. Any controller company that is not using Hall Effect gimbals is RIPPING YOU OFF! Stop buying a new controller every 6 months due to drifting joysticks.

I bought a Gulikit King Kong Pro two years ago and it is still flawless. It has thousands of hours of use and has been dropped countless times on my hardwood floor, and the sticks still register a perfect 0.0000 return error in gampadtester.

The only reason I bought the KK Max was because I missed having back paddles. That was my only complaint about the KK2 Pro. So the KK Max has solved this issue for me.

After having Hall Effect gimbals, I will never buy another controller without them. I am WAY more accurate in FPS games with these joysticks than another other controller I have ever used, including Scufs.

Seriously, nothing else compares to this controller.

This is a fantastic controller. It does everything I wanted, and then some. I was really looking for some thing that I was able to record a macro on to do some repetitive tedious tasks in some of the video games that I play. Even though this page doesn’t talk about it a whole lot the APG works fantastic. I was able to record a simple macro and leave it running all night long. Took a lot of tedious, grinding out of some of the games I was playing. Exactly what I was looking for

The controller felt amazing and the rubber silicone grip is great. I needed a different controller after my xbox elite series 2 craped out and i would say this is an improvement. Its a lot lighter but that didn't change the performance at all. The only issue is getting use to not using a deadzone but thats easy to figue out, its overall great.

Two controllers had multiple back buttons break within a month, the original purchase and my replacement. I’ve had an elite controller for 3 years and never broke a back paddle mechanism. Unfortunately Amazon won’t let me return the second in a used condition. I’m out nearly $80 for a broken controller. I have no fully functional controller now and can’t afford another. Not the seller/vendors fault, but the quality control/design on these controllers is rough. Look it up on Reddit and you’ll see many with this issue. Shame on Gulikit. The paddles eventually either stop clicking when pressed down, or lock up and randomly can’t be pressed. Sticks are great though.

-Wired input lag (3ms)
-Excellent sticks
-Solid D-Pad
-face buttons are solid, even though they aren’t mechanical

Cons
-Paddle mechanism design is fundamentally flawed. Overshadows all else.
-buttons were falsely advertised as fully mechanical originally
-33ms wireless input lag with dongle (gamepadla tests are online. Polling rate doesn’t mean great input lag)
