    These are what you want if you are resurrecting a PS3. These are MILES better than the standard Sixaxis. Way more sturdy, they don't crunch in your hand. They look super cool and function great. They work in PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles. Disc and digital. What a win. However, they don't include rumble, if you are looking for that. I haven't tested motion but I don't play games with that included anyway. 5/5, definitely recommend.

    Out of the box, You get the cables and the two controllers (I love the graffiti styles on both of them btw), paired easily to my PS3 and worked just fine as I was playing Infamous 2

    Button functionality on my ps3 is perfect who’s is the main reason I bought these. The sticks when clicking feels a bit off from the OEM, durability wise it is cheaper then the original as well but it’s perfectly fine because you get 2 for a really good price for these controllers

    UPDATE: after about few days the sticks of the controllers are a little cheap when Turing them fast you feel slight bumps where the metal in the sticks rotate, not a deal breaker but to inform others

    I wabted to play minecraft on my old ps3, but the controller was dead and wouldn't charge. Ordered these and they arrived the next day and allowed me to explore my old minecraft maps from when I was in college. Cool beans

    The controllers are very easy to set up. I had no problem getting it working with my PS3. Just plug it in with the cable and it's ready to go.

    Immediately, I noticed how stiff the buttons and triggers were. I feel like the triggers are twice as hard to press as my old DS3. They have pretty good responsiveness though, so it's for most racing games, but for shooters, you'd probably want to use the bumpers instead.

    The joysticks physically feel very similar to the original, except they have a fairly large deadzone, so quick slight movements are very difficult to do with this controller.

    The final, biggest problem, is the input lag on this controller is pretty bad. I compared it to my DS3 in a racing and also an arcade shooter and there's a big difference. The delay on these feels easily twice as bad as the OEM. It's ok when racing, but really bad in any twitch shooting.

    These might be acceptable if you need a few spares, but if you want the most enjoyable experience, look elsewhere.

    I recently purchased a PS3 to relive some of those treasured memories from my youth. The console I got came with one of these controllers bundled and I could tell the second I picked it up that it was exactly what I needed.
    It’s been a decade since I’ve held an DualShock 3 controller, but to my (muscle) memory - this is as close as you’re going to get in 2024. I purchased a second set of them (Two controllers for that cheap?!) and haven’t had a single issue with any of them. I would highly recommend to anyone.
