1.0 out of 5 stars Does not work on Mac running Sonomoa 14.3.3, works on PC
Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2024
    Test results, then a summary:

    A) iMac Pro: Sonoma 14.3.1
    - BT Recognized as a Beats headset - didnt work
    - Wired USB - Immediately recognized as a PS3 controller in PC/M/PS modes then dropped after 2 seconds and "Not Found" - Didnt work
    - Left it connected anyways - in BT and Wired - Not recognized in Steam (Native), Boosteroid or Steam via Boosteroid.

    B) Lenova Thinkpad: Latest, updated Windows 10
    - Recognized as XBOX 360 Controller when switched to PC Mode
    - The keys buttons are not only mapped wrong but labeled wron on the controller. The A and B are swapped, and the X and Y are swapped. You have to download an app like Antimicro to remap the button and then remember that your controller is labbled incorrectly. This is a joke of a mistake.

    Summary:

If I was a native PC gamer who did not use Steam, Boosteroid, or other streaming gaming platform, who knew how to remap a controller this might work.

For any other platform, or someone who isnt technologicially savy enough to remap the buttons - native or streaming, I would not purchase this controller at all, it doesnt work, its buttons are backwards...and pissed that I can't send it back - I threw away the box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works fine on iMac
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2024
I have a iMac with an M1 chip running Sonoma. Controller works just fine. I set it up just as the instructions stated. Only tricky thing was that you need to pair up with the Mac as soon as the controller starts flashing, if the controller stops flashing it won't pair up, the controller flashing time is relatively short, so be ready to make the connection as soon as flashing starts. Other than that works great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my iPad Air and Macbook Pro (iOS and MacOS Review)
Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2023
To play this on iOS devices, you have to hold the home screen and a button so that the option for an xbox controller appears on your bluetooth (as told in the instructions that come with). It doesn't really advertise itself at all for apple devices (as many apple users typically don't even think to use their devices for gaming anyways) so I was a little skeptical, but other reviews were saying it does work with iOS devices. I was able to set it up very quickly and get to gaming quick.

UPDATE: I bought this controller back in November 2023. Now, it's June 2024, and the controller is still working perfectly! You have to follow the same instructions for iOS to play on the Macbook, and I was pleased to find that it worked well so I could play fortnite for the Ariana Grande skin.

It's important to note that to play on ANY apple device, you have to press and hold the home button and the A button WHILE THE CONTROLLER IS OFF! Then, you should get an option in your bluetooth settings to connect to "Xbox Wireless Controller". You'll know it works if your controller vibrates on connection. If it doesn't work, there's either a defect in your controller or you're doing something wrong.

2.0 out of 5 stars Connects to m2 macbook air but has random input glitches
Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2024
Was skeptical when I first bought due to the mixed reviews and was unsure if it would even connect to my mac (m2 macbook air, sonoma 14.5), but if you press the home button and the 'A' button it shows up as an xbox controller and connects fine. During the first day of use it had stick drift and triggers wouldn't work properly unless I turned off and on again. The stick drift was about once every minute and the trigger issue only happened once. It's fine for casual gaming not ideal for any competitive gaming. if you want my advice get the normal xbox controller, its def worth the money...

3.0 out of 5 stars just stop working

Love that my son can use this with the iPad however the controller seemed to just stop working. It shows it is connected to the iPad and the lights are on, but when moving the joysticks on the controller, nothing happens / moves in the game. And he has used the controller with this particular game before.
