Better ergonomics than the Elite strap, not as good battery management

I'd like to start off by pointing out that I own the official Meta Elite battery strap so I'll be comparing the two. I'd like to also point out that currently Meta has slashed the price so it is in the same ballpark as aftermarkets like these. The comfort and ergonomics of his strap is excellent, I wish Meta would actually take some notes here and adapt the stronger top support and ability to tilt the headset up while still on your head.
Sometimes I need to see something clearly outside the headset and with the official straps it seems I need to either take it off entirely or rest the unit on my forehead - this is not only uncomfortable, I'm also in danger of touching my hair or forehead to the lenses.
However, the strap in this listing is the kind of aftermarket that has a hinge that allows you the keep the support on your head and just tilt the front up. Nice.
The flashing LEDs are kind of trying too hard to be gamer-y, but some people are into that so I can't really judge. My kids think it's cool.
The part that makes me want to stick to my OEM Meta strap, however, is the battery part. Yes, this will extend your gameplay, but I truly doubt you'll get the claimed 8 hours. Maybe in theory, but you have to understand that the official Meta battery strap doesn't just "charge" the unit 24/7, it sort of acts like an extension of the OEM battery. The system menu can report the percentage of the internal vs external units, it seems to keep track and will switch between the sources of power as needed (internal vs external) and even charge them together when you plug it in. Essentially you just charge the strap and it will feed power to the unit, becoming one large augmented battery.
But third party straps like this one don't do that. With the item being sold here, the Quest just sees a USB plug and accepts power as if it is charging itself from the wall the entire time it is plugged in. That means it will actually burn off battery power faster than the OEM one, constantly trying to charge and top off the internal battery, and despite claiming to hold a larger capacity you'll probably find the real world numbers much lower and closer to the Meta Elite battery life (despite having less actual MaH rating).
Also I think you are expected to unplug and charge both this and the Quest headset separately. In my testing, I used my Quest unplugged until the internal battery was at about 50% and then plugged this headset in to charge. The headset does not report how much is in the external battery (since it can't communicate with the Quest), and you have to actually take it off and see the LEDs on the battery indicator on the headset.

I actually much prefer the way the Quest 2 natively manages battery use and I only need to plug in the strap to charge (and it will report charging for both it and the internal battery until both are fully charged). This Hurra branded strap is definitely more comfortable and even cheaper, but it's not that much cheaper anymore these days. It's definitely a good option but I think I'll be going back to my official strap for the easy power management.

Nice addition to the Quest 2

I recently got the Hurra Head Strap with Battery for my Oculus Quest 2 and it’s been a game-changer. The strap fits nicely and the added weight actually serves as a counterbalance, making the VR headset more comfortable to wear for extended periods.

Takes forever to charge the battery pack and does not stay charged for eight hours more. I played onward 46 minutes and the battery pack went down to 50% horribly uncomfortable with the Hard rubber

I recently purchased an Oculus Quest to play games with my teenage son. When he got his quest he bought a better head strap to make the headset more comfortable and told me that I should get one as well. I came across this head strap with an included battery and decided to buy it.

As soon as we received it my son helped me install it on my headset. Upon removing it from the box my son said that it is far better quality than the one that he has. I love that it has an included battery pack because the Quest battery doesn’t last nearly long enough. The headset is very easy to put on and take off, the arm allows the headset to easily bend. The circle on the back allows the headset to be easily tightened or loosened. The padded strap from the front to the back makes this headset very comfortable and lessens the pressure on my head.

Both my son and I are beyond impressed by this head strap and my son even requested that I get him one.

Comfortable + Adds Battery Life

Really happy with this head strap charger - here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
- comfortable padding on top, form fitting firm rubber on the back
- love that it rotates up, really helpful when you want to just check your phone or computer quickly.
- great turning crank on the back wheel to get it properly tightened into place on your head
- really holds in place! I barely even feel it
- I personally could do without the rainbow LEDs on the back but it is a nice reminder if you've forgotten to turn your headset off

Cons:
- the battery charger capacity is good but the speed at which it charges is mediocre. The headset struggles a bit to charge at a fast enough rate to prevent it dying before the battery pack is drained. That said, it still extends the battery life by a couple hours. I'm easily getting 3+ hour sessions with it now
- the LED lights that indicate how much you've charged the battery pack are a little wonky. There are 4 little blue LEDs but they aren't aligned perfectly. You have to hold it at a funky angle to see how many dots are lit to indicate battery charge, not a huge deal.
