It functions exactly the same. I like that it charges with USBC.
To get it paired to your PS 4 is the exact same procedure as holding down the share button
then the PlayStation button.
One glaring difference is it doesn't have the light bar at the charging end of the controller. The light bar shines into your eyes when gaming.
the macro buttons are easy to accidently press. The "options" button does cant be smoothly pressed like on the genuine one, its slightly out of place.
A small difference is that the joysticks have a divot or crater in the center and the genuine ones sit proud like a hill.
Overall I'm really satisfied this isn't the controller someone would complain about if you have it to them and went head-to-head in a competitive game.
I've only owned it a couple of hours so I don't know if the batterie life is comparable.
